Mengapa Natal selalu dirayakan setiap tanggal 25 Desember tiap tahunnya? apa itu pohon Natal sebenarnya?

Banyak diantara kita mungkin belum mengetahui makna Pohon Natal dan Mengapa Natal selalu diperingati pada tanggal 25 Desember tiap tahunnya, banyak informasi yang dimuat namun semua bercerita tentang hal-hal yang tidak Alkitabiah karena sempitnya pemahaman dan kurangnya informasi yang tidak obektif, banyak pula informasi yang banyak dimuat dan diinfokan melalui media online ternyata juga memiliki dasar yang cenderung menyimpang dari ajaran kekristenan, naasnya seringkali pemuka agama menceritakan pemahaman yang keliru yang diambil dari media tersebut.

Penetapan tanggal natal 25 Desember tiap tahun bukan semata-mata berdasarkan perhitungan yang tidak berdasar atau perhitungan karena penentuan dengan kesamaan terhadap kepercayaan dewa tertentu atau ajaran tertentu yang menyimpang dalam penetapannya, Tetapi Natal merupakan cara manusia untuk mensyukuri bahwa Tuhan telah datang kedunia demi menyelamatkan umat manusia yang percaya kepadaNya.

Natal merupakan tanda/ lahirnya Yesus Kristus/ Isa Almasih kedunia, secara iman Kristen perihal natal memiliki arti bahwa Yesus yang adalah Tuhan menjelma menjadi manusia / inkarnasi sebagai Sang Mesias (Penyelamat) datang kedunia, Yesus merupakan penggenapan kitab para nabi terdahulu tentang munculnya juruselamat (Lukas 2:11) umat manusia yang lahir dalam insan manusia, dari gelap menuju terang, Tuhan pada mulanya berkenan kepada manusia dengan dijadikannya manusia segambar dengan Allah dan karena manusia berkenan kepada Allah maka manusia bersama-sama dengan Allah di taman Eden (Kejadian 2:8-25), Namun karena manusia telah melawan dan melanggar perintah Allah dengan memakan buah pengetahuan yang baik dan jahat maka kemuliaan Allah telah hilang sehingga hubungan manusia dengan Allah menjadi rusak akibat dosa, karena upah dosa adalah maut/ mati (Kejadian 3:1-24).

Tuhan tidak menginginkan manusia binasa karena dosa maka untuk itu Tuhan sendiri datang kedunia dalam wujud manusia untuk menggantikan kematian manusia dengan menanggung dosa dengan mati disalib untuk menghapus dosa umat manusia yang percaya kepada Allah kepada kehidupan yang kekal didalam Yesus (Yohanes 1:1-18).

Yesus Dilahirkan pada saat raja Herodes berkuasa di Yudea (Matius 2:1), saat mengetahui kabar kelahiran/ kedatangan sang Mesias maka marahlah raja Herodes karena kabar kelahiran sang Mesias merupakan ancaman bagi Herodes karena sang Mesias telah ditentukan oleh kitab-kitab Para nadi sebagai raja atas umat Allah, sehingga Herodes memerintahkan untuk membunuh semua anak laki-laki sulung di seluruh tanah Yudea sehingga anak-anak laki-laki sulung usia 2 tahun kebawah dibunuh (Matius 2:16-18). Maria sebagai tunangan Yusuf adalah sebagai satu-satunya manusia yang berkenan mengandung Yesus oleh karena Roh Kudus (Matius 1:20-21), (Lukas 1:31,35-36), yang telah ditentukan Allah menurut kuasa Tuhan. Yusuf dan Maria tinggal dikota Nazaret (Lukas 1:26) oleh karena terdapat perintah Herodes untuk membunuh anak laki-laki sulung maka menyingkirlah Maria dan Yusuf lalu tibalah waktu persalinan Maria maka saat itu tibalah Maria dan Yusuf dikota Betlehem (Matius 2:1,5) dan setelah Maria melahirkan Yesus maka diperintahkanlah Yusuf dan Maria dengan bayi Yesus ke Mesir (Matius 2:13-15), sampai sesudah Herodes mati maka kembalilah Yusuf dan Maria beserta Yesus ke Nazaret sesuai firman Tuhan (Matius 2:19-23).

Perhitungan Tanggal Natal, Kemudian setelah 8 (delapan) hari (Lukas 2:21), tibalah bayi Yesus di Sunat dan diberi nama serta sesuai hukum taurat Musa bahwa setiap anak laki-laki sulung harus disucikan dihadapan Allah (Lukas 2:22), kemudian datanglah Maria & Yusuf untuk menyerahkan bayi Yesus dihadapan Allah (dibait Allah), tiba-tiba saat dibait Allah bayi Yesus disambut oleh Simeon (Lukas 2:25) seorang yang saleh dan benar, kemudian Simeon memberkati bayi Yesus (Lukas 2:27-35) dan saat itu juga datanglah nabi perempuan Hana yang juga melihat bayi Yesus (Lukas2:38) kemudian nabi Hana mengucap syukur danmemperbincangkan kepada semua orang yang ada disana yang menantikan pemulihan bagi Yerusalem.

dasar hitungan tahun Masehi semua didasarkan kepada kedatangan Yesus yang diyakini sebagai Almasih / Juruselamat yang kemudian diperingati sebagai kalender Masehi yang berarti dari gelap menuju terang terang.

Hakekat tahun Masehi didasarkan dimulai dari Setiap tanggal 1 Januari dan diakhiri tanggal 31 Desember pada tiap tahunnya dari hitungan 365/366 hari setiap tahunnya (Lihat http://id.wikipedia.org/wiki/Masehi). Memang meskipun demikian tidak ada penjelasan/ sumber dari keterangan atau kitab para nabi yang menyatakan bila Yesus lahir pada tanggal 25 Desember namun Penentuan tanggal 25 Desember adalah merupakan/ disepakati oleh gereja mula-mula bahwa tanggal 25 Desember ditentukan sebagai hari natal tiap tahunnya yakni dengan metode perhitungan diambil dari 8 Hari (Lukas 2:21) dihitung mundur dari tanggal 1 Januari yang dijadikan awal Penentuan awal tahun masehi (8 hari disebut sesuai firman Tuhan adalah saat Yesus diserahkan dibait Allah dan disunat serta diberi nama Yesus sesuai Firman Tuhan serta bayi Yesus diperbincangkan oleh nabi Hana didepan orang banyak (Lukas 2:38), Nama Yesus dikenal oleh orang banyak sejak saat diperbincangkan oleh nabi Hana waktu diserahkan dibait Allah untuk ditahirkan kepada Tuhan.

Kemudian oleh dewan gereja mula-mula disepakati tanggal 25 Desember untuk menentukan tanggal natal yakni lahirnya Yesus sebagai Allah yang menjelma sebagai manusia dalam rupa insan (manusia sejati) dan Tuhan sejati, kemudian secara terus dan menerus dilakukan sebagai momentum peringatan hari natal secara universal bagi seluruh umat Kristen didunia. Namun demikian sah-sah saja bila penentuan tanggal 25 Desember sebagai hari natal tidak diakui seragam, karena memang penentuan tanggal tersebut berupa pemahaman yang disepakati untuk menentukan tanggal natal bagi umat Kristen dengan berdasarkan perhitungan pembentukan kalender masehi dan saat Yesus diperbincangkan oleh nabi Hana saat dibait Allah dengan dasar firman Tuhan.

Makna Pohon Natal sebagai Iman yang Teguh :

Tentang makna Pohon natal yang selalu menghiasi tradisi natal yang selalu dirayakan umat percaya untuk memperingati lahirnya Yesus sebagai Juru selamat umat manusia merupakan keputusan yang telah disepakati oleh dewan gereja mula-mula bahwa Pohon natal itu merupakan tanda iman dan kehidupan umat Kristen dan disimbolkan dengan pohon terang yaitu pohon cemara, Pohon cemara dipilih untuk ditetapkan bukan sebagai pohon yang secara kajian rohani/ teologi seperti ditetapkan oleh firman Tuhan namun pohon cemara merupakan satu simbol alami dan merupakan pohon yang dipilih dari pohon yang ada didunia untuk menggambarkan iman untuk umat Kristen yang digambarkan bahwa pohon cemara karena pohon ini sangat adaptasi terhadap berbagai cuaca dan merupakan pohon yang mampu hidup tanpa menggugurkan daun pada musim dingin/ salju sekalipun.

Pohon cemara yang hidup di Negara bermusim beragam dapat/ mampu hidup meskipun berganti-ganti musim sekalipun pohon-pohon yang lain tidak mampu beradaptasi dengan cuaca dengan menggugurkan dahan atau daun untuk mempertahankan hidupnya, Pohon cemara dapat bertahan ekstem dimusim panas maupun dingin / bersalju sekalipun berbeda dengan pohon-pohon yang ada lainnya dimuka bumi, demikianlah seharusnya iman Kristen yang mampu bertahan hidup dan bertumbuh didalam segala keadaan sehingga pohon cemara ini dipilih untuk disepakati sebagai hanya sebagai symbol pohon iman/ natal bukan pohon lainnya, secara rohani memang iman Kristen harus berbeda dengan iman yang lain karena iman Kristen merupakan iman yang didasari Tuhan Yesus sebagai pendiri gereja, Allah sejati dan Juruselamat umat manusia, dan didalam iman kepada Yesus ada pengampunan dan kasih.

Kemudian untuk penyeragaman pemahaman bersama semua jemaat didunia maka keputusan Dewan Gereja Dunia melalui sidangnya mula-mula sepakat untuk menetapkan bahwa tanggal 25 Desember diperingati sebagai Natal atau hari memperingati kelahiran Yesus Kristus di dunia dan pohon Natal sebagai simbol teguhnya iman umat dalam menyongsong kedatangan Tuhan. Namun demikian apapun pendapat dan perbedaan cara berpikir kita jangan membuat kita menjadi batu sandungan pertentangan bagi saudara yang lain, tetaplah kita menjaga kebersamaan didalam Tuhan, karena Tuhan menginginkan damai sejahtera.

Christmas is a sign of / the birth of Jesus Christ / Jesus Christ into the world, Christmas is about the Christian faith means that Jesus is God incarnate / incarnation as the Messiah (Savior) came into the world, Jesus is the fulfillment of the prophets earlier about the appearance of a savior (Luke 2:11) human beings are born in human beings, from dark to light, pleasing to God at the beginning of man by man maketh God's image and because humans are acceptable to God, the man together with God in the Garden of Eden (Genesis 2: 8 -25), but because humans have been fighting and disobeying God by eating the fruit of knowledge of good and evil, the glory of God has gone so that man's relationship to God be damaged by sin, because the wages of sin is death / die (Genesis 3: 1-24 ).

Jesus was born when Herod ruled in Judea (Matthew 2: 1), to learn the news of birth / arrival of the Messiah, the angry King Herod as the news of the birth of the Messiah is a threat to Herod because the Messiah has been determined by the books of the pulse as a king on the people of God, so that Herod ordered to kill all the firstborn male child throughout Judea so that children firstborn male aged 2 years and under were killed (Matthew 2: 16-18). Mary as fiancé Joseph was the only man who deign conceived Jesus by the Holy Spirit (Matthew 1: 20-21), (Luke 1: 31.35 to 36), who has been appointed by God by the power of God. Joseph and Mary lived in the city of Nazareth (Luke 1:26) because there is a command of Herod to kill the firstborn male child then withdrew Mary and Joseph and the birth of Mary, the time came when it came to Mary and Joseph in the city of Bethlehem (Matthew 2: 1,5 ) and after Mary gave birth to Jesus then told was Joseph and Mary with the baby Jesus to Egypt (Matthew 2: 13-15), until after Herod's death, the return of Joseph and Mary with Jesus of Nazareth according to the word of God (Matthew 2: 19-23) .

Then for uniformity common understanding of all churches in the world, the World Council of Churches decision by the trial initially agreed to establish that December 25 is celebrated as Christmas or the day commemorating the birth of Jesus Christ in the world and has embraced the Christmas tree as a symbol of the faith community in welcoming the coming of the Lord.
